Getting around Grenada - Grenada Waterfalls

Annandale Waterfall GrenadaAnnandale Waterfalls on GrenadaOne of the many  Excursions on Grenada is  a 15-minute drive from Grande Anse Beach which delivers you to Annandale Falls, a tropical wonderland, with a cascade about 15m (50 ft.) high.
You can enjoy a picnic surrounded by liana vines, elephant ears, and other tropical flora and spices.
The Annandale Falls Centre (tel. 473/440-2452) offers gift items, handicrafts, and samples of the indigenous spices of Grenada.
Nearby, an improved trail leads to the falls where you can enjoy a refreshing swim.
Swimming at the Annandale Waterfall GrenadaSwimmers can use the changing cubicles at the falls for free.
The center is open daily from 8am to 4pm.

Annandale Falls are easily accessible, small and offers recreational opportunities and scenic beauty to its visitors.
Of all the falls on the island this is one of the smallest and probably the easiest to get to.
There is a well tended foot path by which persons can take to the falls, lined with fruit trees and shrubs.
It is located on the outskirts of St.George and is only a short distance from the main road.
The waterfall is only 30 feet tall, yet because of its accessibility it remains one of the most frequently visited by both locals and tourists alike.

Grenada has many other  Waterfalls which are well worth visiting.

The Annandale Falls are near the village of Constantine, about four miles northeast of St. George's.

At the other extreme of the marathon mountain hikes is this a easy though hilly walk, to a mountain stream just a 15-minute drive from St. George's .
Tourists and Grenadians alike regularly visit this popular spot where 2 different falls drop about 30 feet into a beautiful tropical pool surrounded by elephant ears and lianas.

Different plants are marked with their names, but you need a guide to appreciate that the foliage is more than just ornamental.
