Grenada Acommodations - Grenada Villa Rentals
Petit Bacaye Grenada

On a palm fringed beach, a whisper away from the warm sea, set in over one acre of lush tropical gardens stand our 5 beach houses, their shaded verandahs look out across the water to a tiny island bird sanctuary.
All houses have sea views to die for. Petit Bacaye Villas and Restaurant are true Robinson Crusoe living.

This Caribbean hideaway is located on the south coast of Grenada.
The beach houses are situated on a wonderfully sheltered, secluded stretch of palm-studded sand cooled by the trade winds.
Real Grenada is here.

This is right on the beach living - a very laid back holiday experience which allows you to be pampered and independent simultaneously! And for those real chill out days you can pre- order continental breakfast on your verandah, have a long lazy lunch until 5pm in our seaside lunch restaurant up in the canopy of an almond tree . Or have your food prepared and put in your beach house for the evening.

Delicious bar food also served until 6pm in the restaurant and thereafter on your verandah. There is the added bonus of the freshest fish and lobster possible brought to your door ( beach!) step daily. With over an acre of beautifully tended private garden plus a further natural 5 acres, there is lots of room for peaceful, private wandering . At sundown you can sip your rum punch with your feet in the sea, watching the flight of the egrets’ home to their roost on the island. Petit Bacaye’s very own bird sanctuary. Or you can watch the reflective pink sunset from your own private verandah, rum punch in hand.

The beach bar restaurant is right beside the sea with a large shaded verandah and a stunning dining deck high up in the branches of an almond tree. Every single table has fabulous sea views. We serve local fresh food, lobster, snapper, grouper, and tuna - right out of the sea that day - locally grown vegetables, plantain, bluggo and callaloo. Paw paw, bananas, guavas and star fruit are from our own trees.

We make bread and bakes (local bread), banana bread, ice cream, delicious Grenadian soups, crab cakes, pumpkin mash, fish in coconut and chilli and yummy coconut creams to our secret recipe. Our lobster salad lunches are renowned. Nat’s rum punches and pina coladas are famous. Our lemongrass lemonade is grown and made on the premises. . The local Carib beer is ice cold, of course. Our wines are from Chile and Argentina.

Just a few of our specialities are listed below -
Petit Bacaye Lobster Salad - a delicious mix of Grenadian flavours - carrot with passion fruit dressing, red potatoes with nutmeg dressing, hot green beans with ginger dressing, thick slices of succulent star fruit and all kinds exotic fruit in season. Plantain Spiders - yummy plantain grated and mixed with fresh ginger and garlic, cold banana curry soup & hot bakes - the local hot, soft, succulent bread!

  • — the perfect place for our honeymoon

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fortunately everyone knows Petit Bacaye even tho' it's hidden well away down a very steep hill to an almost deserted bay. There are no glitzy lights advertising it's presence just a small unlit sign...

  • — Definitely not reccommended

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 1 of 5 stars

It does look idyllic but there are problems. We went there for our second week on the island, expecting, from what we had read, 'barefoot luxury'. Luxury it is not! The cabins are pretty but TINY...
