Set on its own private penninsular, the Mount Hartman Bay Estate looks across the water to the Mount Hartman Nature Reserve, home of the protected Grenada Dove. The bay itself is guarded by at its entrance by coral reefs and is one of the most beautifiul and sheltered in the Caribbean.
From the moment you arrive, you'll be made to feel at home. The main house of the estate merges into the hillside, and with a grass covered roof and internal waterfalls, has been dubbed the Cave House by the locals. Others see the influence of Gaudi in the design, or of the Hobbit House or Tracey Island from the Thunderbirds. The Beach House is located on the waterfront overlooking the private jetty and helipad.
With seven suites in the Main House and four suites in the Beach House, the Estate can accommodate upto 22 guests. The Beach House is also available separately on a self-catering basis with linen, full housekeeping service and gardeners, but without the other facilities of the Estate. Then in June and October each year, the Estate allows couples to rent individual rooms and join a Houseparty.
Rates are quoted in USD, per person, and include the 8% Government tax, return transfers from Point Salines International Airport, all food, drink (including champagne, beer and wine), services of the chef, waiting and dining staff, housekeeping staff, gardeners, boat captain, estate manager and 7-seater 4x4 SUV.
The Estate House also includes a second SUV, a 43 ft twin-engine motor cruiser, water jet wakeboarding /ski boat and two sea scooters.
Set on the beautiful Mount Hartman Bay Estate, the Beach House can be rented separately from the Estate House. The Beach House has its own pool and deck, and is right on the beach. Almost invisible from the Estate House, and vice versa, the Beach House is equipped to the same very high level as the rest of the Estate but is a touch more casual. With four huge air-conditioned bedrooms, all with indoor and outdoor double bathrooms, the property accommodates eight adults.
There are bed settees in the rooms so it is possible for families with children to share and each bedroom is equipped with a 42” flat screen tv with cable, dvd players, Bose Wave radio/cd players and a safe. The air-conditioned sitting room has comfortable lounging seats and an home cinema with a 50” flat screen and a Bose sound system with 1800 tracks on the i-Pod, as well a Sony Playstation and internet access.
There is a small kitchen with a well-stocked fridge and cooking facilities, if you want to make a drink in the night. All food and drinks (beers, wines and soft drinks) are included; meals are prepared in the main kitchen of the Estate House and are served at the Beach House. A 7-seater car is also included in the price, as are the services of the chef and kitchen staff, housekeeping and maids, bar and waiting staff, gardeners and the Estate Manger. Laundry is provided. If the Estate House is not occupied, there is an option to hire the 43’ air-conditioned motor cruiser, the wakeboarding/water skiing jet boat or the sea scooters. Or you may prefer snorkelling over the reefs or even a scuba diving course at one of the local dive schools. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll enjoy the idyllic setting of the Beach House.
