![]() ScubaTech is based at the Calabash Hotel, which nestles in the sheltered waters of Prickly Bay on the southern coast of the island. The hotel's jetty makes access to the dive boat easy and the location means that dive sites both on the Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the island are within easy reach. We have three full time diving instructors offering the complete range of PADI programmes from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster. Additionally, we offer the popular PADI and PRONRC Nitrox courses through to semi-closed, closed-circuit rebreather courses, advanced nitrox, decompression procedures and extended range training. Owned by Carsten Andres and Jochen and Sabine Lenz, the centre offers a complete range of PADI programmes from Discover Scuba Diving up to Assistant Instructor level.
After the first dive, a surface interval of approx. one hour and a refreshment we get ready for the 2nd dive at a different location. Once back in the Dive Center, equipment will be rinsed and stored. Obviously you're very welcome to leave your equipment with us in the Dive Center, but ScubaTech isn't liable for any lost or stolen equipment. For your safety our boat is equipped with a DAN Oxygen Kit, GPS, VHF, life vests and flares. All dives include a guide, as experienced diver, however, you may also simply dive with your buddy. All divers have to be equipped with a minimum of a regulator with an alternative airsource, a BCD, mask, snorkel and fins, unguided divers also with a dive computer.

Our Dive Center is opened on 363 days per year, closed every twenty-fifth of December and 1st of January.
All our dives are non-decompression dives, also our deeper wrecks (apart from certified Tekkies), so you might consider diving Nitrox, which is at ScubaTech available without any surcharge (Nitrox 32).
