![]() ![]() Hog Island is located at the south of Grenada, close to Point Salines. There is some good mooring for yachts, and the beach here has a little bar which serves barbeques on Sundays. The sand at Hog Island Beach is white, but not as white as on Grande Anse Beach. This is usually a quiet beach, apart from the weekends when it can be quite busy, for Grenadian standards. There are several large day tripping catamarans that come over to this beach once or twice a week with dozens of sunburned tourists out for a day on an isolated Caribbean beach. Roger from the beach bar, with the help of the cruisers, has erected a shore-side covered bandshell, as well as a couple of mooring posts for boats and dinghies to tie up (there is no dock, dinghies just pull up on the sandy beach).
