Carriacou Guide - Places On Carriacou
Jack A Dan Island CarriacouMabouya Island CarriacouMabouya island is located besides Sandy Island in front of Paradise Beach.
The waters around Mabouya are teeming with life.
It is a favorite spot for the local population to go spearfishing or dive for wilks, a species of seafood.
There are currently talks going about selling the island ( Grenada Government needs cash ).
It would be a bad decision, since the extra trafic of boats to the island will frighten the fish.
Result will be a small disaster for the local fishermen, who go to Mabouya to catch their baitfish.

A safe and enjoyable wreck dive with already loads of marine flora and fauna, especially nurse sharks and lobster, queen angelfish, french angelfish, barracudas, critters and more than average coral growth.
